University of Westminster, London

The University of Westminster is located in central London. There are several campuses in London but the main campus is in Regent's Street, one of the most famous street of London. But the majority of my classes takes place in Baker Street in Marylebone, in the center as well, just in front of the well known Madame Tussauds.

(Regent's street campus, really nice, looklikes a museum!)(marylebone building)

Its origins go back to the foundation of the Royal Polytechnic Institution in 1838, and it was awarded university status in 1992.The university has 44 departments and 65 research centres across seven schoolsWestminster is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Associacion of MBA's, EQUIS, the European Universities Association and University UK. As for the Housing there are student residences in Harrow Campus and in Marylebone I think, but I did not get a place.

The Welcoming was nice, first we had a meeting in a lecture room where all the abroad staff were presented, they gave us a file with all information needed (for the school and for surviving in London as well).

Then to integrate us we had a party on a boat we took at tower bridge which was really nice.(Tower Bridge by night, gorgeous)

Class content is various, rich and interesting as we had the opportunity to choose our classes (4 in total to get 60 ucts). So I've chosen modules which I think is the most appropriate for me : Web development, Online Entertainment Management (best one), Art and Society (2nd best) and the Role of Manager. As I'm writing now I have already files to return to teachers asap.

Cultural differencies in the classroom is a little bit surprising. There are a lot of indian people and not many english people. Also, it is only in the module of Art and Society in which there are foreign student (German, American etc). Lack of information given? I don't know where all the foreign student have gone.

There are not much student interaction as the university is very big and we have only twelve hours of classes per week

The students' Union send us some e-mails sometimes about the life in westminster.

There are a lot of club and sportclub so I think I'm going to play tennis with the school to meet some westminster's people
